PRUride PH 2018

In 2016, Pru Life UK and the National Bicycle Organization conducted the PRUride to London, which aimed to celebrate Pru Life UK’s 20th anniversary in the Philippines, as well as to highlight its commitment to promote responsible and safe cycling. The event composed of a community day which featured games and activities for all forms of cyclists, as well as a competitive criterium for local racers to show off their prowess.

A legacy of this event, the BGC Bicycle Lanes by Pru Life UK is still continuing up to this day, allowing cyclists of all levels a safe and controlled environment in which to enjoy their passion. Since then some 2,000 children and adults have been taught how to bike at the BGC Bicycle Lanes by Pru Life UK, thereby planting the seeds for future generations to adopt an environmental friendly, safe mode of transportation that can help alleviate the severe traffic and air pollution that Metro Manila is currently burdened with.

After a year of hiatus, PRUride is proud to come roaring back in 2018 with Pru Life UK hosting PRUride PH 2018, which will include the prestigious Philippine National Road Championships that was last held in 2014.

PRUride PH 2018 is set to gather the strongest and most competitive talents all over the country and South East Asia. A UCI Class B national event that is open to international riders, the highlight of the event is the 100-mile (160-kilometer) route which will take partiipants up to the historic peak of Mt. Samat in the province of Bataan.

Of course, the event will not be complete without the participation of amateur cyclists and age groupers. Among the events line up for them are the Individual Time Trial, Criterium, and a 100-Kilometer Gran Fondo, as well as the exciting Brompton Challenges!

All participants of the event will get a PRUride PH 2018 jersey and all finishers will be entitled to a finisher medal.
